New Orleans City Council

District D

Candidate Endorsement

Troy Glover

Voters Organized to Educate is proud to endorse Troy Glover for City Council District D

Election Day is December 11, 2021.

Candidate Spotlight:

I am a New Orleans native, grew up in the Calliope to a single mom who was addicted to drugs and alcohol. I was arrested at the age of 17 while trying to take care of my two sisters and I'm still here and fighting to make this city more equitable for all. As the ED of an organization that only hires FIP, I gave a stimulus payment to FIP of over $2000 each during the pandemic, changed policies and laws and I'll continue to fight as the next Councilperson for District D. Too often people who share my background story ends tragically. We can't continue to lose our people to these oppressive systems, structures and agencies.
